Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the oldest Black-founded and Black-led organization in Queens, New York. Founded in 1965 by a coalition of community members, including parents, older adults, and members of the Black Panthers, Elmcor has grown from a small volunteer-based organization to a multi-facility strategic human justice organization.

For over 60 years, Elmcor has provided programs that serve the community, from preschool-aged children to older adults, with a mission to foster positive life changes in members of the community through skills development that leads to self-sufficiency, a sense of accountability, and a strong empowered community.

Each year, Elmcor reaches over 12,000 individuals with programs that include after-school activities, recreational opportunities, college prep, violence interruption services, reproductive health education, older adult centers, housing support, a food pantry, universal pre-K, career pathways, and substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery.
